Other recent tidbits about Luke:
- at his last check-up (where Noah tried to steal all the attention by bashing his face) he weighed in at a massive 28 pounds, 8 ounces. Supposedly he was only 29 inches long, but well, I know for a fact that's wrong as at his 6-month check-up he was 29.5 inches, so for length not too sure, but I'm guessing somewhere between really big and giant.
- he now has 6 teeth, 2 bottom and 4 top, and it looks like there's a couple more on their way.
- he has discovered how to open the garbage can, the diaper pail and the toilet lid
s enough to reach in and totally disgust me by what his hands have been touching.- he's discovered that he can climb up the slides in our backyard but has yet to figure out what to do once he's at the top, this makes for some interesting screams for help.
- he's figured out how to climb into the bathtub, without hurting himself from falling half way in, and any chance that he has makes a mad dash for the bathroom when the door opens.
- last night he had his first real chance to play in the ocean (at Dubois park lagoon) and absolutely loved it. As soon as he hit the water his smile was huge and didn't stop until it was time to leave. He has no fear and will definitely require a ton of attention as he hasn't quite figured out that the water gets deeper the farther he crawls in, but he was so cute and had a great time.
- he's starting to learn a couple of signs, he did "all done" by himself for the first time today and sometimes he does "more" although he might just be clapping as he recently discovered how to do that and loves to do it while sitting and eating.
- he's a complete bully and momma's boy. If you've got something he wants, he's gonna do everything he can to get it. If you're between him and something he wants he'll just bowl you over. But at the same time, he sure loves his mommy and wants to be with her all the time (I'm getting kinda sick of it but trying to remember that it won't last forever and to enjoy it while it lasts), especially while she's doing other things, like working. If I don't pick him up or if I put him down to do something, he screams and screams and screams until I stop. And wow, can that boy scream.
I think that's about it. He's growing way too fast and so is not a little baby any more. But he's awesome and we love him so much.
