So I haven't posted anything about my cousin in a while, sorry for all you who are wondering how he's doing. Right now things are going okay. He's been through a lot and a lot of scary things have been happening. He had a really bad infection in his arm and the doctors were telling the family that they would most likely have to remove the arm. After tons of prayer from around the world, when the day came for the doctors to decide what to do, the arm was doing much better than they had expected and they decided to leave it for now. The only problem is that there was such severe nerve damage that they still have to wait and see if it will function or not, so please don't stop praying for his arm and the healing of the rest of his body.
In the surgery last Sunday they were able to reset Chris' jaw without having to wire it so that's awesome and will make the long term recovery much easier.
Within the last couple days Chris has started to wake-up and start responding to the doctor's and nurses through blinking (i.e. one blink for yes, two for no). This is a huge step forward and shows that he can actually comprehend what is being asked and respond.
It is just an amazing miracle that Chris is alive. That he is doing so well is awe inspiring - our God is amazing.
Chris still has a long, long way to go, but with all the prayers I know that he will make it and come out of it with an absolutely awesome testimony of the healing powers of God.
Please continue to pray for his healing, and also for his wife, Nina, who found out she has Grave's Disease on the same day that Chris got in to the accident.
