Lunch With Daddy In Paradise...

Today Sydney and I decided to meet Jeff for lunch at the park. I went to the grocery store and bought some great chicken strips and a couple drinks and met Jeff for lunch at one of the most beautiful places you'll ever see. It reminds me every time that I go to this park that we are blessed beyond belief. We had such a good time eating, laughing and playing with Sydney. She absolutely loves going anywhere that she can outside and the ocean is definitely a highlight for her, so this was really great, a park on the ocean. It amazes me when I look across the inlet at the homes directly across from the park and realize that those people don't even live in the multi-million dollar homes for most of the year. Usually when we have gone to the park, half or more of the houses are boarded up (for hurricanes) and there's not even a hurricane anywhere in the forecast, they're just away for the summer so they board everything up just in case. It's absolutely crazy to think that this amazing view goes to waste for so much of the year. We also have fun watching the boats that come and going in the inlet - dreams (the smaller fishing boats) and fantasies (the multi-million dollar yachts and sailboats). Maybe one day we'll know someone who has a boat that they don't use all the time and we can borrow. One of our dreams is to own our own small boat to take the kids in when they get a little older, hopefully that dream will be fulfilled one day. Until then we'll just continue going to the inlet park and watching the boats go in and out and bounce around of the ocean swells.
