Give A Girl Some Slack...

Okay, no one has really been hasseling me or anything for my lack of posts lately, so I'm guessing every one of the five or so people who actually read this blog understand that life's a little crazy right now and this just happens to be one of the lower things on the list of things that need to get done. So thanks for the understanding.
Life has been crazy, but we're slowly starting to work things out. I actually got out of the house this morning all by my self with three kids in tow and only a couple of minutes late. I call that an acheivement. Especially since we were out before 9am, pretty early for me. That was also after a pretty rough night on Luke's end. I'm not quite sure what his deal is, but if he's left to sleep lying down (rather than reclining like in his baby seat or swing) he makes these really loud grunts and annoying noises all night making it really hard to sleep (and me getting a lot of grumpy looks from Jeff). He also often likes to have at least an hour of awake time in the middle of the night which really sucks. We're working on it and hopefully tonight will be a better night for all.

The big kids have been doing pretty great with Luke. They both really seem to love him and are always coming up to him and saying "He's so cute" and stuff like that and if they hear him make a noise while sleeping they run over to him to check on him. Any time that Noah sees a picture of a baby now he says something like "Look, it's Lukie". Or he'll bring something that he finds of Luke's that's been laying around like a blanket or toy or diaper (a clean one, not a dirty one in case you're wondering) and lays it on or next to Luke and says "For Lukie". It's so cute in his little kid voice. Noah has been talking a ton lately and it's so cute to hear him. I'm sure that most people probably wouldn't understand what he's saying, but to us he's talking so well. Syd has been doing pretty good herself. She's been a little cranky and has had a bit of a regression in the potty training arena, but from what I hear that's fairly normal. Hopefully she'll get back to normal soon. We've had a bunch of changes lately with Luke joining our family and in the next couple weeks things will be changing again as Jeff goes back to working at an office instead of out of the house when the church building is completed. So maybe in the next month or so things will begin to normalize and life will get back to semi-normal.

I can't believe it's been almost a month already. Time has really flown by. With it being almost a month since Luke was born, that means that it's been almost a month since I promised to post some pics of Noah's birthday cake. Jeff was able to finally download the pictures off the camera, so here is the cake. I would include pictures from Noah's party, but well, we didn't take any. We were so busy taking video and making it so that my mom could be part of the party from a million miles away via web cam that no photos were taken. We're terrible at that... we almost always either take only photos or only video. Maybe one year we'll actually get around to taking both, hopefully. So without furter ado, here's the cake and a pic of the birthday boy.

And here's some photos from the awesome couple of weeks that my mom was down here helping us out. She was amazing to have and helped us so much. And she made it possible for us to have a couple of fun days playing together at the lagoon and splash park. Thanks Mom for coming! Oh, and Mom, Syd is still telling me that she misses you and that you and Grandpa are coming back again in a long time so that we can all go camping and that she can't wait and is so excited.
